Privacy Policy
Last updated October 2026
Unamy brings your WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and LinkedIn conversations into one inbox. To do that we have to store and process your messages on your behalf. This policy explains what we keep, why, and how you can remove it.
What we store
- Your account: email address, name (if your Google account provides one), date of birth (to confirm you are at least 13), and when you accepted our Terms.
- Your connected accounts: which networks you connected, their connection status, and the sign-in session each network gives us so we can keep your chats in sync. We never store your passwords for those networks: you type them into the network’s own sign-in page and they are not saved or logged.
- Your conversations: messages, photos, videos, voice notes and files from the chats you connect, including the history each network lets us import, so you can read and reply from any device.
- Basic technical data: the devices you sign in from, needed to keep you signed in and to send notifications.
How we protect it
- Everything is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored on encrypted disks in Google Cloud (Hong Kong region).
- Each user has their own encryption key, managed by Google Cloud Key Management and destroyed when you delete your account.
- Message content is never written to our logs and is never used for advertising or to train AI models.
- End-to-end encryption between our servers and your devices is planned before public launch. Until then, our servers can technically read your messages in order to deliver them.
How we use it
Only to provide Unamy: showing your chats, sending the replies you write, importing history and sending you notifications. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers that run Unamy for us (Google Cloud, Firebase and Vercel) and the networks you connect, which receive the messages you send.
Deleting your data
- Disconnecting a network signs Unamy out of it and deletes its chats and media from our servers.
- Deleting your account (Settings → Delete account) disconnects every network, deletes all your chats, media and account data, and destroys your encryption key. This cannot be undone.
- Backups that may still contain your data expire within 30 days.
Children
Unamy is not for anyone under 13. If you believe a child is using Unamy, contact us and we will delete the account.
Your rights
You can download a copy of your data from Settings → Your data, and you can ask us to correct or delete it at any time by writing to support@unamy.ai.
